Introducing our Head Chef
Meet our Head Chef within the MUŻA Restaurant Kitchen! Before MUŻA Restaurant opened, the kitchen team, led by Godfrey spent hours discussing and trying out different recipes that could be incorporated within our Menu, as well as going from shop to shop to find the most modern equipment for the new kitchen and to find the freshest local produce that was to be used to create the dishes we now serve in the restaurant. Godfrey’s first passion wasn’t always the kitchen, but when he heard about the MUŻA Culinary experience he took on the challenge head on to try something completely different and very new to the culinary scene in Malta. This challenge meant that as a kitchen team, all the members, all from very different backgrounds, would come together as one team to provide new experiences and ideas, that are very important when creating a fresh new menu.
Godfrey’s greatest passion has always been the sea which would come to no surprise that Godfrey was a fisherman before he became a chef. This often helps when it comes to choosing fresh produce straight from the sea! He also enjoys doing maintenance work on boats, especially power boats. He currently owns a beautiful cabin cruiser which he enjoys taking his wife and 6 year old boy on for long rides.
Godfrey’s dream holiday is to go to America with his family. When asked where he would like to visit in America, he mentioned that he would definitely go visit Disneyland in Orlando with his son, visit the large cities such as New York and Vegas and finally would definitely spend a few days in Miami admiring the various power boats and beaches. If Godfrey had more spare time he would pursue learning the piano, which he has been meaning to get into since he was 17 years old.
